Instructor Peter Beresford.
Wing Chun was first brought to my attention on an evening out with friends, a few of them had started training in Traditional Wing Chun a little over a year before. Watching these guy's spar with each other opened my eye's and showed me what self defence could be like. I asked them if I could throw a few punches at them to see how they could deal with them, the answer was with ease, with no big flashy pointless moves, just direct and efficiently. From this point onwards I knew I wanted to learn what they were being taught.

I began training in June 1999, my initial reason was to learn what I had seen my friends do, and to get a bit fitter, as the months turned into years, I wanted to train and be as good as my Master Mark Clark. As he was on a different level to my friends, seeing him deal with situations from other highly trained martial artists, in a very direct and economical manner, made me realise that Wing Chun is a real world martial art that can prepare you to deal with any real self defence encounter.

In 2002 after passing my eighth grade (instructors) I began teaching students of my own in the main club and my own locations in London. Teaching the next generation of students is a very rewarding experience.

I am currently learning my Masters Grade.
